BM Revere Pewter is good if you want the best of both worlds, beige & gray It may have been Bleaker Beige by BM Its a brown. Is it truly brown or more gray? Walls - Bleaker Beige by BM Yes, it's an oak floor with a dark walnut stain. All trim was painted in Navajo white by Benjamin Moore. I know the professional states that this isn't revere pewter! but it really photographs as such. Revere pewter is more grey than brown, but it has some beige in it...kind of greige. I just painted much of my home this color, and it looks great with white trim....and really looks like this photo. I also did a satin finish so it looks kind of velvety. It is not shiny, but not a flat matte finish. This may be another factor in your decision. Thank you. I just tried Revere Pewter on my walls and it looks a lot lighter than this picture. Hmmm??? I like your idea if the shine. Looks like Hot Spring Stones- Benjamin Moore for Pottery Barn to me You could try Accessible Beige....always looks great. We're building & the color ...

Although I am preaching the removal of all contrasting trim, it still has a place within this trend. For this dining room, designer Allison Cosmos maintained the white crown molding with silver walls and a silver ceiling flanking it. A small accent of white along the trim maintains a continuity yet still allows the hint of silver in the framed art to advance into the foreground. "You are not distracted by the colors outside the palette, and you can focus on pulling the room together as a whole," notes Allison.
Once you have created a seamless backdrop, furnishings no longer compete with your walls for attention. The simple arrangement of Eames chair, oversized mirror and banister detailing is much more striking and prominent.
Really want to create a monochromatic wall? Built-in cupboards and cabinets recede into the pale green background so that the pattern of the slate flooring is the only detail you really notice in this room.
The wood in the panel doors is much more pronounced.
When all architectural elements have been treated equally, there is no longer a color differentiation to distract your eye. The true beauty of this column detail and texture can be more clearly appreciated and admired.
In a room like this traditional Victorian, the classic detailing mixed with the monochromatic walls and contemporary furnishings creates a cohesive union. There is nothing distinctively antique or modern about this room collectively, yet the individual pieces that compile it are able reveal each of their distinct styles.
Trim 1. Same as the Walls There is something modern and soothing about trim painted the exact same color as the walls. It creates a seamless look and works well if you plan to leave your walls bare or cover them with a thousand pieces of art. The case for painting a whole room one color
Trim Here the only contrast is the ceiling. You can create subtle contrast in all-one-color rooms by changing the finish on the trim.
Trim This room is mostly trim and very little wall. The colors are not an exact match, but they are close enough to create that soothing, restful look.
Trim White on white is airy and fresh and irreproachable.
You may have noticed that gray is everywhere these days when it comes to home design and decor. Just about every product and material supplier I talk with is rushing to bring more gray products to the market. I’m noticing a bit of pushback, however, from homeowners who either are growing tired of cool gray hues or find them too cold and somber. For those folks, I’ve been recommending warm gray as an easy-to-use neutral. The best way to spot warm gray paint colors is to gather a selection of grays together and compare them. You’ll notice some veer cooler (with a blue cast) or warmer (with a hint of brown). Shown here is a sampling of warm gray paint colors. From left to right: San Francisco Fog from Kelly-Moore, Dolphin Fin from Behr, Mindful Gray from Sherwin-Williams and Cape May Cobblestone from Benjamin Moore.
