I have D handles on my kitchen cupboards and drawers for two reasons easy for any hand to use and a tea towel can be used as towel holder while cooking. The trend to put metal components extending beyond the body of the handle as seen in #1 is tricky, On a recent trip to a display kitchen with pulls like these in #1, almost disrobed me when i turned too quickly and the end of the pull grabbed my pocket edge then did it best to tear the jeans off me. NOT IMPRESSED
Agreed. If the handle extends past the connectors they catch and rip your pockets. Wrecked my favourite jeans with some.
Totally agree about #1 - apparently in the industry they're known as "belt catchers", yet we found them everywhere when designing our kitchen. In our wardrobe we had similar to #8, but the edges were actually sharp and hurt when brushing past. I think the leather and rope handles look trendy but I can imagine in a kitchen they will get dirty and even gunky rather quickly. I'm with Suancol - I need a handle I can use with a little finger - because sometimes that the only clean finger! Very much like the look of the copper pipe handles at #19, but not very practical.
