Interesting to put a cooktop and sink on the same large island.
I like sink on one end like this. It's a pretty big sink also.
With reduced cabinet same it makes sense to go with lots of pull out shelves
Like the combination of tones here.
Good luck. Would need hardwood floors
Like shape of this island. If you think of narrow fridge where we were thinking of, then island sink opposite. Then ovens along wall by Window
Definitely should think about deviating from traditional rectangular island
Like eating area at end of island. Not necessarily type of surface
That's one thick island top. Good work area at end
Example of island extension for eating. Does it look too fragmented?
Interesting island with top material also on sides
The more I think about it the elevated part of island (for eating) would block the view of the kitchen a bit. Perhaps better to have overhang area at side and at one end for eating and perhaps a work station for Cynthia1
Not too bad
Nice look
Like stools with leg rest
Like curvy island, but only if eating is all along the living room side
Like curvy shape of island top
Flat panel cabinets
Either elevate side of island for eating or dedicated one end for eating. Latter idea may be way to go. So no separate table for in-kitchen eating
Wide island (perhaps with a decent part elevated for eating) is doable with wall gone
Interesting idea for a corner shelf
Elevated part of island is what we were thinking about
White and stainless steel appliances seems to be common.
This long island is a possibility. That is, ditch the separate kitchen table we have now
Light floor but too "clinical" a look
Interesting idea about bottom of cabinets being higher than normal
White cabinets look good
Sleek. Flat cabinets
Clean lines
