Powder Room
4. Crown the washbasin with a wow mirror…Maybe your bathroom has a frameless mirror, which can get a little boring. Try a classic wood moulding or a pretty metal frame, or perhaps something with a bit of shine around it. If nothing else, surround your mirror with small framed art prints or posters and see how the place gets transformed. In this bathroom, Swapnil Bapat uses a mirror accentuated with a petal-inspired cement frame. You can also consider bringing in more focus to the area with a tasteful fixture or spotlight. It’s a simple way to give your bathroom a budget-friendly facelift.
3. Colour me brightThis eclectic space, also designed by Khosla Associates, is an indoor version of sunshine and the skies. The room uses cheerful colours and a cleverly placed blue-rimmed mirror helps amplify the space. The bright-yellow sink base is fashioned as a low Parisian-inspired platform, complete with delicate arches and tapered legs. The ivory vessel sink and deck-mounted mixer tap make for excellent design inspiration.
