As an artist who loves COLOR, I have never succumbed to natural tones in my house.

Nature is the best artist; it uses wood of all colors and vegetation of all colors, even sheets of nothing but icy white. Variety, in other words, a time for all seasons...

Can’t agree more with color…bringing the beauty of the outside inside! The trend of gray everything (after the trend of white everything) is not calming but sterile and depressing to me. Nice to have options to suit us all.

I have never liked the all white, or black, grey and white trend and so glad to hear it's on the way out....I never succumbed to it, and love colour!

My newly renovated house has a neutral base of white and light wood, but we’ve used 3 strong, bright patterned wallpapers, and blue and green in paints and furnishings, plus large violet tiles in the main en suite. And then terracotta clay bricks on the patio and behind the fireplace. It may sound eclectic, but it all works together beautifully. Basically we’ve ticked all the trends!

Yes, colour is good. Black is a colour - right? Love black.

I like the mix of wood in a kitchen, but my personal preference is towards clear hardwood or fewer knots.

I need color! I add it to a neutral base and natural materials. Years ago, former Miss America, TV Host and Designer Polly Bergen advised using neutrals on large pieces and adding color and pattern with accent pieces. I've followed that advice ever since.

The best use of color in this case is to do the tub surround (ceiling too) in a cool tone (possibly Scandinavian sky blue) for an ethereal feel that also makes all the wood pop

So glad to see wood cabinets coming back. So tired of white cabinets. I love wood looking like wood.

I replaced my white cabinets with natural cherry 15 years ago and never regretted it.
