5 Emerging Home Design Trends
If you want to know what people are interested in right now, just look at what they’re searching for online. We recently looked at searches on Houzz from this year and compared them with searches from last year to see how home design interests might be evolving. Based on what we found, here are five home trends we think you’ll be seeing more of very soon.

I think this particular kitchen has a lot to do with the green cabinet trend. When this pic was published, it went viral, it was everywhere, and ever since I have seen more and more green cabinetry.

My kitchen has been a pleasant gray-green and my family room a dark moss green for more years than it should be. Maybe I should leave it awhile longer to stay trendy!
We have had more clients asking for the green look (if you will) Either its green cabinets, green tile, or even a marble with green tints. Color has made a great comeback, blues, greens and mixed colors. We are glad to see people take that plunge into a colorful life! :)
I sincerely hope trend no. 1 and the photo that goes with it will inspire Houzz editors to find/produce more images of home offices dedicated to what actual computers look like. I've said this before in a comment on a workspace issue, but it bears repeating: however charming and swoon-worthy a folded laptop on a dainty desk in the middle of a pretty room may be, it hardly reflects what people actually deal with - multiple contraptions with power cables sticking out of their less-than-delightful butts :-)
