1. Hide the aliminium window with full height and width roman or bamboo blinds depending on budget. 2. paint the whole room in bright white for uniformity. 3. if budget allows install vinyl flooring over the dominant tiles 4. use white bed spreads and pillows 5. install led tubelights 6. hang everything possible on wall, bags, hats, scarfs, belts, head phones, book shelves etc 7. one large colourful canvas painting above the bed headboard. 8. couple of table lamps, one for study one for bedside 9. one 4' height indoor plant in a corner near window Good luck!
My first suggestion would be to change the layout of the room at bit. this is my suggestion:
i also think that you should paint the room in a uniform light colour (preferable white) and also paint the wardrobe in the same colour so it doesn't overpower the entrance and blend in with the room.
my second most important suggestion is to increase storage. here are some ideas for that:
simple plank shelves with filing boxes and folders with labels can be a cheap and efficient way of storage of study material.
Also the sunlight is the biggest asset of the room and yet the aluminium window is an eyesore. so i would suggest some nuetral shade curtains. and you can play with the colors of the room with the bedsheets.
And agree with studio chippan's suggestion of a painting or a family portrait or frame certificates of the kids achievements.
1. You can place the bed near the window to divide the room space equally. Of course keeping in mind about sleeping directions. 2. Use yellow and white color cotton curtains for the window. You can buy full length curtain if u don't change the position of your bed. 3. Also,LED light can be placed above the window so that the room is equally lightened. 4. In left side wall to window, you can have study table and shelves with some blue and white strips or box texture for the wall paint . 5. For room color , u can chose some not too dark colors instead of white as there is enough light coming from the window. colours like blue, purple, teal etc. 6. You can use some green , turquoise or teal for bedsheets so that it compliments the wall paint color. 7. The right side of the wall can have 2-3 door wardrobe which can be used to keep books and other school/personal materials of the child.
