I am guessing that you want some kind of separation between dining room and kitchen? You want to keep steam and any oil in the air, from cooking, out of the dining room, stopping it at the ceiling with a wall but keeping the dining room open so the light from the large kitchen window can filter into the dining space? If I am right, the shape of an arch would best match the architecture of your house or of these rooms. An arch is an architectural element as well as a design element. It is possible though that an arch will be totally out of place in your space when a cleaned lined separation would look very nice. Hard to tell. Can you post a picture or give some verbal detail about the style of your spaces?

Hello Gopi, Moving the hob towards the center will bring it too close to the sink. Will not be an ideal placement. You can move it too wall 3 centre though (if that is possible as a window is there). There are slight issues, the corner drawers and doors will hit each other when opened. How are you hiding your chimney duct. Please talk to your designer/vendor about these. Thanks. hi , i have designed more than 60 kitchens and with my experience it's extremely difficult to cook with stove in the corner of moved a bit to the right it would end up too close to the sink if the space is less and whatever you wash there are chances that it may fall into the cooking bowl .it would really help if you let me know the measurements of that wall . If you want to try something new you can check out cooking corner solution famous in European countries

Many thanks for your valuable comments. 1. My intention of raised cabinets was to clean it daily, as cabinets that touch floor accumulate lot of dust and food particles below. If we rule out steel legs, any inputs on raised floor only of cabinet area and then cabinets?(Just like plinth in modular cabinets- but this will be permanent and of tiles) I have not seen such structure anywhere, so curious if it will work. Otherwise I will go with traditional ones. 2. Moving pooja out of kitchen is very difficult as other rooms are just enough for their function. Currently a small Mandir is attached on wall where Fridge is shown in layout. I thought the new area could be little extra for all pooja related things. Will like to know the reason of your recommendation, is it odd in whole design, or not suitable in area .. or anything else? How about moving it to corner of dining area?
