Need help in choosing colour of the building walls.
Comments (9)Hi. Since you have such contemporary lines with the linear use of windows, I think your look is contemporary, but with so many windows, you still want a connection to the outdoors. My suggestion depends on whether you want to blend in with your surroundings, or make a statement. If you want to make a statement, I'd stay with a stark white, to contrast the sharp blue. Then use bluestone cut in a random pattern, to play off the blue roof, but keep an organic feel with the movement of the stone. If you want to blend in more with your area, then go with a mid-range gray color on the walls. It will tone down the contrast, and still stay contemporary. Not a dark charcoal, but not a dove gray. I attached a Gibraltar Gray from Lowes, or you might like a little lighter gray. Benjamin Moore has a bit softer gray: Cape May Cobblestone. Good luck! Please post your choices....See MoreNeed help choosing the kitchen cabinet color with counter top !
Comments (3)You are going to have to leave your comfort zone on this one. Walnut is "brown", you have "pink" as a counter top. I would suggest going with another version of the colours already in the room. you have gray/beige and white. I would hesitate going white...but it can be done. You can move into the grays and be very happy (it would look very modern) or you can move into a beige that holds a hint of pink in it (not pink...but a blush of warmth). Or you could go really wonky and add in something like a brushed stainless steel look to the cabinets and have it go "space age". There are specs of blue/gray in this counter top. The next think to look at is an "ashwood" or dark gray wood presentation that has some blue in it. It would lighten the space yet still add drama that dark cabinetry offers....See MoreNeed help choosing the kitchen wall color with the cabinet
Comments (2)The color of walls of your kitchen completely depends on the color of your cabinet, but you can opt for white color as that color is plain simple and goes with any color cabinet. But in kitchen while making food there are many things like smoke, grease or staging of oil or masala can make the color of wall look dull and bad and it gets more dull after every cleaning, whereas by applying wallpapers, your kitchen will look much more younger than paint and wallpapers can also survive almost 10 years if maintained properly. A few wallpaper Ideas that i can suggest for your kitchen are:- Modern wallpaper - Modern wallpaper designs are not constrained by any particular patterns or fashions. A wallpaper pattern featuring exotic fruit or animals is just as likely to have a quirky lobster theme as it is. Other possibilities include 3D geometry, abstract florals, and odd ornamentation. The wallpaper will have more effect with modern furniture. Retro and vintage- When the kitchen walls are decorated with antique and retro patterns, a certain whimsy and nostalgia are added to the space, creating a really particular feeling. Flower Power themes, arty or modern designs from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, and large geometric patterns are characteristic for this. Brick and stone patterns- Materials used in country/historical kitchens over the years that are indestructible but also incredibly cosy haven't lost any of their attractiveness and function flawlessly in 21st-century kitchens. Stone appearance wallpaper styles, such as brick, sandstone, clinker, or even concrete, emanate a feeling of solidity and sturdiness while yet having the potential to seem completely modern when paired with the appropriate furnishings. Marble- Superior marble is the epitome of subtle elegance. The best option to realise gorgeous and glitzy kitchen decor ideas is with deceptively genuine, costly imitation marble wallpaper models. Marvelous effects are produced for walls by contemporary, inventive marble forms and colours. Tile Design- Numerous kitchen design ideas are derived from instances in nearby and distant other nations. These are only a few instances of the vast possibility offered by tile imitation wallpaper. Other possibilities include artistic Spanish Majolica-style tiles, oriental decoration tiles, Delft tiles from Holland, and Roman frescoes....See MoreHelp choosing wood cabinet color for granite
Comments (9)thank you very much to everyone who responded! I'll look into espresso and charcoal grays. As well as the steel backplash. Emmarenes, I'm living abroad in India, and the only granites in my budget are the local ones. I was advised against the gray and white local ones because i was told that they would not hold up well in the kitchen. I could have gone with a black galaxy as well but i have that granite now and despise it because of the way it hides ants and bugs so well. we live in a tropical area and there are always critters here and there. My first choice was a Brazilian white granite but it was triple the price. This granite is called Shiva pink, so it has a pink salmon and gray look to it. Im really hoping I don't hate it once it's installed. The stoneyard was a 9 hour trip up and down and i was just pressured to make a choice after several undecided trips. And I'm getting new cabinets put in. but I think I can wait for them to put the slab before staining the wood. Thanks for that idea :)...See MoreMurthy Gowda
