Comments (35)I like this tile as well. Very sleek and mod looking. I would consider running it vertically instead of the picture horizontal pattern. It might give the illusion of more height in the shower surround. The color is great. If you are worried about it being "too much," you could always see if they have the same tile in a different shade and mix the two or doing one wall in a contrasting (lighter) color. I personally like it as long as you have good lighting....See MoreNeed help with colors and lighting
Comments (7)Starting with the bedroom suites...have your bedding selected. Choose a color that coordinates. You can accent the headboard walls with a darker color and carry that darker color into bathroom on the walls, or continue bedroom color and carry the accent color into your towels and shower curtain. I would paint kitchen and 2 dining room walls the same color, selecting a darker color for the drama in the dining room and contrast with your kitchen cupboards (such as your green color). The other walls in your living room, foyer and hallway, should be your neutral color such as a camel or warm gray. This neutral is bumping up against all of your other room colors. So, it will make a good transition from room to room. On the bold side, you could find a great wallpaper for the two walls in the dining room. Don't forget to play up your foyer with furniture for that first look impact. Selecting your bedding first, allows you to tweak your paint color and hue, and the darkness of your color. Enjoy....See MoreHelp me with my living room ( high roof )
Comments (8)Thanks for ur advice guys ! Is there any other color advice ? Like brown n beige mix . Will it suit the high walls . I seriously don't have any idea as how to use the color . I tried a green on the walls in Photoshop . It looks totally lame but just want to know how to mix the colors . Any suggestion on how and where to use the color will be appreciated . Like dark color on the wall which has the TV and light color on all the other walls or opposite walls with the same color .. Pulling my hair out !!! I wanted to go for the black sofas only cos of low maintainence . It wil not get dirty soon . The one big thing under the staircase is my fish tank . The one near the wall is the TV . Yes we have fans attached on the walls . Since we have a high roof , we cant use ceiling fans . And the house is not equipped with a centralized AC . I just want a color which will helps me relax and will also look modern ....See Moreplease help...hello i have one sofa set and 2 single bed one tv in liv
Comments (76)HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)...See MoreAjinkya Pokharkar
