Hi sriram227. Are there certain areas of the home you are looking to control? We would suggest evaluating what your needs are and what parts of the home you'd like to control. What we have found is that consumers are looking for solutions to specific areas of the home. With the garage door being the largest moving object in a home, and the front door for many families, we have developed a smart home technology, MyQ Garage. MyQ Garage is a simple DIY product that can be added to your existing garage door opener (check compatibility) and gives you control direct from your smartphone from anywhere. It provides a simple solution to an issue we have all faced, leaving the garage door open. Here is some additional information: http://www.chamberlain.com/smartphone-control-products/myq-garage. We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!
Elan g! Is comparably priced to Control4 however I prefer the interface from Elan. The élan g! System can control all of the major systems as well as your av gear. Here's a system that we did not too long ago for audio and video in the whole house using an élan g! System for control.
We feel it is more about the reputation of the installation contractor. Most systems jump up & down about the same but will the venders do the same? Of course you could hire a design consultant but those firms charge a ton of $$... or do they? List what you want to control and how you wish to access the system. Hope this helps! ClearLED.biz
