Need help with the center table and the wall treatment.
Comments (21)Perhaps a large round table might mean a rug is not at all necessary. It could be a metal tray table, or carved wood like Rebecca Mitchell Interiors illustrates. Ideas also to consider, using multiple tables can be found at http://www.houzz.com/multiple-coffee-tables. I also agree with comments above that some color is needed on the walls. You could then hang round mirrors, or an unusual curved shape like RMI shows above....See Moreneed help for partition wall in living room

Comments (13)Hi Smita, A wall can add a lot of character to an existing space if treated wisely. - Even if its a small wall, a pop of colour can really liven it up. A collage of your favourite posters/ family photographs/ tribal masks/ wall sculptures can always add character and interest. These accents serve as good conversation starters as well. - A wallpaper is always an option when you want to add a bit of drama to the room. Couple it up with a large mirror and a couple of beautiful bracket lights to liven it up. - A wall mural adds an artistic touch to the wall. You could try getting it done by local artists or for a simpler option opt for decals. - A textured wall with a nice artwork or a painting can never go wrong if used wisely. Here are a few quirky ideas that we used in our projects to give these walls an uplift. Hope this helps. All the best! Regards, Team RnD Atelier...See Morestaircase wall decoration
Comments (5)Hi Anuragini, Well we usually decorate all the "livable" spaces of our home and often skip the transitional ones. Revamping these with a little bit of creativity adds immensely to the entire aesthetics of the home space. Here are a few suggestions - 1. Adding an accent piece such as a huge wall clock or a wall sculpture can really add drama to the staircase space, bringing it into the limelight. Travel collectibles such as masks from all the countries you have been too or little mementos collected as you travel also make up for a very interesting display. They give the otherwise drab wall a huge face-lift. 3. Photographs of your family, their travels, their achievements are always a great option to decorate the staircase wall with. This way you can relive those memories and they serve as good conversation starters too. For a more softer look you may opt for wallpapers as well. These days they come in all colours, patterns and textures providing a lot of options to choose from. You can go for the regular damask ones if you want to play safe as they are not very loud and act as a good background to photo frames, mirrors etc. If you want to make a statement you may opt for rather bold colours with simple geometric patterns as elaborated below. Hope these ideas help you. Do let us know what you plan to do and if we can help you further. Regards, RnD Atelier, Nagpur Mob. No. - +91 7387096228...See MoreLB Interiors
