panjetty: I think the color a house should blend into the neighborhood homes. The exterior paint on a home should not stick out like a sore thumb. If a person lives in a San Francisco neighborhood where the houses are called painted ladies, you might paint your home purple and that purple would blend in for that particular neighborhood (photo below). Some neighborhoods (gated communities) dictate to the home owner what color house is acceptable, so the gated community neighborhoods always remain beautiful & cohesive. I do not disagree with you, but I always look around the neighborhood before I have my houses painted and I appreciate my neighbors who also look around the neighborhood and choose colors that blend in and do not "make a statement".

One option, I would get a very large rug so that all the chair legs and at least one corner of the sofa is on the rug. I think I would also bring the table set away from the window a little more. I think there is enough space to place the two-seater opposite the table in front of the window. or bring the table forward toward the kitchen ....... With the sofa centered to the large window. They probably will not be opposite each other, but at an angle which is still ok. They might seem more functional for the table set to be closer to the kitchen. Another option is two rugs in wide runners. Creating a walkway through the center of the room. Still thinking the sofa center of the right window. Just some ideas :-)

You could get it printed and apply it to the wall or the door or the ceiling or you could paint it to the actual wall or ceiling. If you are not really good with a paintbrush (and I don’t mean a roller), you may have to hire a professional to paint on the meme for you if it really complex like a painting meme or some digital art memes. If it is a simple illustration, you can simply get a stencil and fill it in with the appropriate colors. You can do the same thing with some of your favorite phrases and statements. If you are going for a painting or a photograph meme, it is best to have the poster professionally printed or get it framed. You could ask if it’s possible to have the meme printed as a so that it can take up and entire wall or ceiling, of course, depending on the outcome you are going for. The advantage of wall papers and posters is that they can come down once the child is over that meme without incurring the cost of repainting the entire room. With regard to phrases, you can have them carved into their headboard or their vanity or the door frame especially if it is something you would like for them to live by or always remember as they grow up. The thing about memes is that in all their variations, they appeal to different groups of people based on their personalities and outlooks on life. Tsilanko, I would always recommend professional installation where needed. But what I am doing here is suggesting that WHEN you are planning to build or renovate, to consider how your plans will affect you in 20 or 30 years time. Split levels are very hep when you are young. A kitchen 3 steps down at 30 is rarely a problem, but might be a hazard at 60, or, as Marjie1059 suggested, if you break a leg. ... All my parents' homes were terrible for old people. They were forced to move to a bungalow in extreme old sge because the location and design of their home was more suitable for an active young couple with a large family than for an elderly couple with stroke disabilities. I would not want to move again, so my present home has features built in that make ageing in place simpler. Mostly small changes, like grab rails, and lever handles on doors and faucets. A major disability suddenly suffered requires major changes if permanent. I did look at this because it came up in the discussion, but if you look at the heading, Planning for Disability, it means just that. Plan ahead so you don't have to make expensive changes later on. But thank you for your advice, yes, major changes are not in the DIY domain.
