Hello there, It looks like the wood primer has got the wrong shade. It should have been teak/pine. He has applied walnut primer. The only solution is to sand off the entire primer and reapply an appropriate coating. But it is going take some skills as well. Go for a clear coat instead after sanding. Hi Harsha, This could be one of two things; a Matte Painted Door in Duco Finish (gives the best results) or a matte polished veneer. In case you're looking for a solid door without the wooden grain, then you should go for Duco Paint with a matte finish. Using veneer will give you wooden grains on the door and it can also be polished to a matte finish. This is the matte Duco finish which you can choose in wooden colours and this is what a matte polished Veneer will look like. Again, there are a lot of options to choose from so you can pick the veneer sheets that have few grains. Many thanks for your valuable comments. 1. My intention of raised cabinets was to clean it daily, as cabinets that touch floor accumulate lot of dust and food particles below. If we rule out steel legs, any inputs on raised floor only of cabinet area and then cabinets?(Just like plinth in modular cabinets- but this will be permanent and of tiles) I have not seen such structure anywhere, so curious if it will work. Otherwise I will go with traditional ones. 2. Moving pooja out of kitchen is very difficult as other rooms are just enough for their function. Currently a small Mandir is attached on wall where Fridge is shown in layout. I thought the new area could be little extra for all pooja related things. Will like to know the reason of your recommendation, is it odd in whole design, or not suitable in area .. or anything else? How about moving it to corner of dining area?

Veneer with White PU is a great Option. Alternatively you can go with Duco which is slightly cheaper than PU. Laminates always have a sharp edge unless done with the right expertise. Fabrics, if going with white, should be scotch-guarded. Mostly, white PU will work on table tops too, but if you want to use a sturdy option, go for white lacquered glass or White marble.
