OK... but the wire wont be lower as it is fixed now. The wire in the pics below is the wall facing each other. They were leveled on equal height but the beam on one wall makes it seem a little above. But i think you guys are absolutely right that up and down lights wont look good there. I think you are right about down lights lessismoore. Would it look good if i go with two different lights on opposite walls??? it would look odd right.

Romney, First thing is that requirement of light is measured in lumens. Secondly , you will have to look at the room requirements , colors on the wall, furniture, flooring etc. Even the temperature (i.e. warm or cool) of the lights is very important. Hello Jayant, As per Vastu the ideal space for the Puja room is the North-East area of the house. As per the plan that would be on the right wall of the bedroom adjacent to the wash yard. You can keep the Mandir in the place of the study table. In addition, the Mandir should not be on the same wall as the washroom. In case Vastu is not a concern, the current position seems optimal. in the right-bottom corner of the living room. As per the directions, that falls in the South-East of the living room and South-West for the entire house. As for the what the mandir, You can look at Corian or wood as the building material. Corian will allow light to pass through the mandir and you can install LEDs behind for a beautiful look. Wood is more earthy and charming and traditional. For the design I am attaching a few photos from the internet that seem to best suit the two possible options (living room and bedroom) We hope this helps! While am still going through the various probabilities of what could be, my idea of the 2 part multipurpose living room would be a planted vertical wall, along a cream/beige stone wall 3D panel to compliment and contrast with bright furniture, grey small sofa with pastel or bold yellow, and accent colors like green and blue in gem tones...carpet/rug, sofa throw pillows, side table...Maybe, a bright yellow Lounge Chair and finish with floor lamps and Lighting to accentuate the same. That said, I do prefer that material used is Eco Friendly as much as possible. The 2nd part of the living room would be eclectic design....neutral small sofa, cream 3D Panel...maybe a turquoise rug. In short, a small boho living space. In terms of budget...While, I do have an idea of the market, I'll like to hear you out. Yes, am open to hiring from outside my locality.
