Advice on interior design

last year

Hello all, I actually have 2 queries.
In Mumbai, after finishing the interior of the house , if within a year the material used as flooring or tiles break or there are problems in laminate etc, isn't it interior designers responsibility to work to deal with it? What are the rules?
My kitchen dado tiles are cracked at multiple places, is it possible to remove them without damaging the platform? What can I do about this.
Kindly advise.

It depends on your contract with them. Generally, they ensure the proper selection and installation of materials. The responsibility for material defects often lies with the manufacturer or contractor. It’s always best to check your contract clauses for a warranty for materials and installation, and IDs can assist in communicating with vendors if issues arise..

It’s very much possible to remove cracked tiles without damaging the platform, but care must be taken while chiseling them off. Using a professional for a careful removal would minimize risks. You can then replace the tiles or consider a backsplash solution depending on your budget and style.

As mentioned above create more moodboards, 2ds,3ds or sketches of different store designs say furniture store, Jewelry store, kids store, book store, or may be 1 shop store, etc . Also your basics on color theory ,lighting , flooring and electrical planning should also be good. Whatever design you add in a portfolio it should be backed with due thinking and explaination even if the designs are simple.
