No need of closing it. 2& 3 Pull out the Porch and increase the room size. 4- Change the direction of toilet, increase the size and include handwash within it. 5 Open Living area will comfortably seat 6-8 people. 6,7 - If your designer agrees this will allow you to increase the room sizes. by 20 odd ft. 8- Close the kitchen door . Hello there, You could start with concealing the concrete niche as it is with prelam boards and laminated plywood on the sides only. This will preserve the slabs as well. Its just really messy right now. Too many colours and clashing prints. Is that Puja unit lime green? Or does it just appear that way because of lighting? Either way, it stands out like one more distraction. Pick one base colour add and add prints that go with that base. That TV unit HAS to go. So do that black metal coffee table and the carpet. I would suggest you go with a simple geometric print in the carpet. But apart from these obvious design gaffes, the structure has distinct possibilities, if you do a classic English style.
