@soberg: on the toilet entry we thought we could have a 2 way access to the corner most toilet - one from the closet side and another from bedroom 3. @ eagledzines. Thank you for the sketches! On the high ceiling do you think we could juggle the entire layout of 1st floor a bit to accomodate a small family room (hall) where the staircase opens along with 2 other bedrooms. We are ok to compromise on the room sizes a bit and toilet / closet positions can be changed too as long as pillars are not affected.. The kitchen changes sound good. I was also wondering if it would be ok to have the sink right below the window. Thereby freeing up more cooking or prep space.

I'd go for make it white; then right there, flop one nice little white overstuffed loveseat or something that fit, or one big whopping chair, and fit in a tiny table and light; treat that corner as it's very own micro-retreat, and the seating is to not face out into the room. Like little lounge spots put under stairs, make this one dedicated to the view; and make it minimal. Decorate the rest of the room as if the column and retreat bit isn't there.

Hi Rose. So sorry to have been absent for so long -- I lost internet connection for a solid week. Tore all my hair out, and now this bald lady is saying that the angel above would make a good fifth element, I think, if it's the right size (not too big). It you are considering purchase, try to borrow it first to see. Otherwise, put something in roughly the same size and shape -- scrumpled up paper can work -- in that position. Trust your eye as you did so well with the start of the vignette. I would prefer your original arrangement, with that, to the the second arrangement, in which I think the white is too stark, and the colour too bright. You want a feeling of age and patina, which is what you have in the first arrangement. Also, in the second arrangement, the clock and the couple are overwhelmed by the bright white. My thought about the lace runner is not unconnected with Decoenthusiaste's comment above. I don't think your items are too feminine, but perhaps underscale. But adding a large item won't help; a runner could, by enlarging the footprint (base area).

Hello there, Since the basin is in close proximity to the entrance, it needs to be partitioned to ensure privacy. You could go for a pvc jaali/ glass pillar partitions/ planter partitions or similar. Secondly, the basin and mirror are small in size. To give an illusion of space, cover the existing basin's underneath with WPC cabinetry like suggested by Prasath. Also, try placing the towel ring below the basin by installing a SS rail. Replace the mirror with multiple geometric cut mirrors to cover the entire wall. Third, choose a large format tile or faux marble panels / alabaster sheets to replace the blank wall and illuminate it simultaneously. Fourth, change the curtain into something with a lighter shade i.e. bamboo blinds and printed acrylic roller blinds.
