Since the lot you describe is smaller than my open living area, I would suggest looking at some of the "shotgun" house plans around New Orleans,LA. I think you can build up and back and get an interesting home with a loft for space. It can be done, A porch with an entry to a narrow hall at the back might work best for you. Will you plan a courtyard (closed)? or what? What part of the country are you in? What are your local codes?

Hey Naveen, Staircase is most underestimated space in the house. I would suggest you these ideas to repurpose it: 1. If you have a pet, make it a kennel. 2. Understair storage 3. Understair play area for kids 4. Understair sports point 5. Understair reading point 6. Understair bar 7. Understair laundry or mop cabinet Just add little more light to this area. Hi. Nice to see good old wooden window shutters which means you dont need curtains and they pretty much are the main feature in the room. So you should keep them free from clutter. The wardrobe wall needs a custom full size wardrobe in white to store all that stuff. Something like this The queen size bed is too big for the room. Do think if you would prefer a single bed and study table instead. example And it looks like you seldom use the window behind the bed. In that case it would be better to use roman blind or hang a carpet over a rail

@HU-563441043. Thanks for your suggestion. Little late for the ceiling light now, I just got battery operated round leds installed in each box. It works with remote, can get dim and with timer. So very cool. I am surely going for metallic border now. I really liked that idea. All the stuff that is there will go out and I will put some showpieces. I am also thinking of, rather than getting color laminates at the back, covering the leds with solid colored see thru plastic sheet (mostly used for gift wrapping). That ways I can highlight few boxes with reds, greens blues. Tried red and it looked something
