i am doing up my house and i forgot to get the ceiling speakers installed . the false ceiling is done and the lights are installed. i spoke to my contractor he said there is no way possible that we can pull cables thru the false ceiling as the space is really tight and frame work is complicated with light cables and air conditioner pipes already running through.. i really want the ceiling speakers.. is there any solution ?? there is no wireless solution available . number of speakers to be installed 12 on 2 floors.

Dear Kiran, It is a good idea of having a curvilinear false ceiling design for a living room plan like this. It will make your space look spacious as well as it will help create a character wall by accentuating the TV screen. The light colour palette will further make the space look harmonious and bigger. Pradeep, plywood or Gypsum has little do with heat reduction . It is the air layer between the actual ceiling and the false ceiling that does bring the temperature down. So as long as you are having a gap of 4-6 inches between the two ceilings it shouldn't matter. Gypsum would be more cost effective. Thanks, Nitin CORNERSTONE DESIGNS, Bangalore

@ Studio Not a big fan of false ceilings either. I am going for this purely for insulation purposes. The searing heat of hyderabad summers renders the long living space unusable. The vendor tells me thermocol filling will take care of this. Googled for this and learnt that the temp drop can be upto 5 degs. Exposed concrete painted dark is totally my thing but the ceiling is plastered anyways... Does saint gobain do the channels as well? Any tips for me to supervise this and ensure the guy is doing a quality job? Thanks,
