My first question for you is do they have Ikea in India? They have the market cornered when it comes to smart and unique ways to furnish small spaces - and as far as I'm concerned, their specialty is clutter control! It would be helpful if you could post pictures so that we can understand your space a little better. I will say that, as far as paint color goes, the first color that comes to mind is white. It makes any space feel fresh and clean and spacious, and will make the smallest picture or cushion just that much more noticeable. In a small space this is good since you won't have room for a lot of these items!

Hi pankaj. Some lovely ideas above. Is that a door at the end of the passage? It strikes me, especially if you want to make the passage all white, that you might be able to give that door a special treatment to bring some drama to the end of the passage. That draws the attention to the door and away from the passage itself. You could just paint it a vivid colour. I think we tend to let our interior doors remain very plain and boring, when there is no good reason for that to be a rule. The one below would need some sort of backing for privacy, I guess, but I think to put metalwork on a door is a great idea that you could adapt in various ways. (Be aware of the dusting, though! Outside the rain will wash things clean, but not inside.) I like the first one on that site. It's simple and geometric, and could very easily be adapted without hurting the budget.

Hi Pranav, Here are a few suggestions: 1] Modular Office furnitureThis would be easy to move around if and when you need to relocate in the future. Avoid fixed furniture wherever possible. 2] Kid's BedThese days you get convertible cots that "grow" with you child. The are a good investment and take lesser vertical space as compared to bunker beds. You may find these online as well as in stores selling kid's stuff. 3] Study TableThe study table can serve you as well you child if you want. Since, you child is pretty young you may use it for your own work, storage, devices and printers. In the image below the study is designed to serve both kids and adults. 4] WardrobeSince this is going to be a fixed and lasting furniture unit, invest well. You may make it sustainable by cladding it with wallpaper which can subsequently change as per your child's requirements. Kids grow fast and with them their choices and muses change rapidly. Wallpapers come handy in such a case as compared to laminates which are more permanent. Alternatively, you may opt for chalkboard laminates. These are low maintenance and can be written or drawn upon while being easily cleaned. The wardrobe can serve as a writing board for you too. As mentioned above create more moodboards, 2ds,3ds or sketches of different store designs say furniture store, Jewelry store, kids store, book store, or may be 1 shop store, etc . Also your basics on color theory ,lighting , flooring and electrical planning should also be good. Whatever design you add in a portfolio it should be backed with due thinking and explaination even if the designs are simple.
