Cheat sheet for determining thickness of plywood to be used

Hi there
I am starting the furnishing of a 4 bedroom apartment in India
I will be using local carpenters for execution
When I talk to them and ask the thickness of plywood to be used in different furnitures, they practically want to use 19mm thickness everywhere
I personally feel that its a waste of resources
Is there any cheat sheet available which I can use to decide the thickness of the plywood
For example in a 2feetx7feet wardrobe,
The thickness required for the 4 sides of the carcass, the back side, the shelves, the drawers frame etc
Cheers

Hello James, there are literally no cheat sheets. The carpenter is suggesting so because the hardware fitting which will be used in the doors requires this much.

For your knowledge, the back ply should be 12mm, the side ply - 18mm, the shutters it small requires 18mm if more than 6 feet, then you should go for 25mm board frame. Drawers are made from the leftover plywood only.
