We just moved into a new house. It has high ceilings. Kitchen, Living and Family room all flow together in a large room. The walls have been painted and we dont want to change the wall colors at this time. I am interested in getting some advice on the type of furniture to buy, rugs (colors, patterns), wall decor (painting, clocks), furniture arrangement and the colors to use. The large island also has a pull-out breakfast counter. But, we want to add a nook table. Please suggest ideas. Thanks.

The wall opposite my main entrance is dark blue. I am in dilemma as to how to decorate it to look classy. Our furniture and shelves around is raw wood. I want that ewall decor to sync well with the house theme.

Hi Vaishnavi, If you are OK with the open kitchen plan then you can include the dining area in the kitchen and provide the wall more on the left side . This way your drawing room and dining room will be separated, you will get proper four walls for both the areas and easy to place the furniture in both the rooms.
