Hi , I think if ever you want to sell this property in the future - you will need to follow Vastu guidelines in the design at this point - otherwise this may hinder resale. Assuming that the architect has followed this and the plan is set - I would suggest you use colours and artwork to create the look that you are after ... Also consider shelving going across the full window wall - this will give you extra storage and also somewhere to grow herbs etc in front of the window - maybe even have a deeper shelf at worktop height and a stool infront of the window ? If you do a picture search on elements that you would like to add - ie kitchen "turquoise accessories" or kitchen "gold" etc you will get lots of inspirational images to help you get an attractive kitchen ... When you use the term "Duplex", you mean that it is a two story house, correct ? In the USA, the term "Duplex" means two separate living units side by side......but in other parts of the world it means a two story residence. Please clarily that you are talking about a two story single familly house...... If so, the footprint that your house will have on the ground floor will be approximately 1000 square feet. Do you need to park a car on the site or is parking offsite? If the parking is offsite, then you have lots of room for a two story, 1800 plus square foot house. The design will be dependent on your personal criteria, and it would be helpful if you could hire a local architect to help you with the layout of the rooms. It should be relatively simple once all of the factors are considered.

To have a 'traditional' look, the floor plan may have to be altered. Perhaps this should have been discussed with your architect beforehand.

Sir you can use Wooden textured ACP as it will be cost effective solution to cover Soil pipes and provide a modern look to facade .
