Manvisudan, I'm not sure what you mean. The walls above the sofa? If so, I think your should go with the richness of Indian art -- something like this wall hanging would be beautiful. I'd hang it horizontally. Look around for something that picks up both the lavender colour of the walls and the red of the carpet. It could be a rug, or a printed or painted cloth. Mount it on a rod and hang it with the lower edge about 18 inches or less above the sofa. (India is probably on decimal? 45 centimetres or less. Whatever feels comfortable to you.) Otherwise, look for those wonderful wooden wall art carvings produced in India and other countries in the east . You could hang one big one, or three small ones in a row.
