Thanks Patricia and cpaul! I hadn't thought about glass. And I guess I should specify that a fully modular kitchen would not withstand the climate lol. The doors and Windows in General are traditionally made of teak wood and do warp somewhat but it's not a huge issue, so I fiured if all I am dealing with in the kitchen is the cabinet door it shouldn't be too hard to maintain. I actually ended up finding a blog about someone living in the tropical Philippine weather and how they covered their concrete counter with cabinets. This was their starting and final result. there are more photos in the blog. They basically recommended some prefabricated cabinets and strong hinges and screws for the wood frame.

Well All LEDs emit heat and if you don't provide a heat sink( moslty copper or aluminium) which helps dessisipate heat so that LED can work for a long time but I mostly see people use recessed light with false ceiling and I'm not a fan of false ceiling but I want recessed lighting so I can provide the holder and the profile in which the bulb gonna be placed while poruing concrete so that I don't have to drill later but I'm concerned about aluminium profile since they react with concrete.

Hi Soumadeep, For a living room (with an existing flooring of Tiles/stone) you can go for a Laminate flooring (Action Tesa has the widest range). The cost of material + installation should not exceed ₹100 per sq.ft., although it may vary from vendor to vendor. It can be installed within 4-5 hours at most! In case if you expect frequent water spillage then I'd suggest you Ceramic tiles with a wooden print and texture, which is a more worry-free option. However this is advisable in case where you plan to paint the walls as well because of the plaster work associted with the skirtings. Hope this was helpful :) Regards
