Option 1: If one extra bedroom not possible then can go for living room cum bedroom using movable partition in living area (next to small bedroom)? Option 2: A) living area ( next to small bedroom) convert in to bedroom with movable partition. B) cover kitchen current entarance & make new enterance near or next to main home enterance C) in centre rectangle area convert to living & dining room like this manual drawing plan Please suggest which option is better or any new suggestions

Please help me remodel the existing house plan. The details are - 1. Bedroom 1 aka Master bedroom (existing) 2. Bedroom 2 3. Bedroom 3 (this room has a balcony) 4. Living room (this room has a balcony) 5. Open area cum Dining room 6. Kitchen a and d are Bathrooms b. Washing machine area c. Lavatory Problem areas that need to be fixed - Entryway into the house is very dark during the day due to lack of natural lighting. Want to open up the kitchen area as it is very congested. Want to incorporate a walk - in closet and convert a bedroom into an Ensuite Need space for a study cum office area. I am ok with demolishing the walls and have 1 bathroom instead of 2, but do not want to compromise on the 3 Bedrooms. Switching the rooms is also possible. Thank you all.

Hi Ashwini, A loft bed in the master bedroom is a good idea when - 1] Your kids are too young (4-10 years) 2] The room has a high ceiling 3] The room is big in size (at least 12' x 15') If all these conditions are met with, you may go for a design like this - In the above picture, the fan is at a reasonable distance from the loft bed. The beds do not eat away the bedroom space. Also later on when the kid's grow up, this space may either be dismantled completely or closed from the front to act as a storage space. On the other hand, kids tend to grow up fast and their needs change accordingly. Hence, investing in a permanent arrangement such as a loft bed might not be such a good idea. Options such as a sofa cum bed might be helpful in such situations - It is extremely functional and useful. 1] Your kids can use it for as long as they want 2] It can be easily shifted to other rooms 3] It can also work as an extra bed in the future (when your kids grow up and there are guests at home) As far as our opinion is concerned, a separate room for the kids is always a better idea - 1] They learn to live independently 2] You maintain your privacy as well as theirs 3] A separate room means more space and less clutter 4] Both the rooms can be designed as per the specific needs of you and your kids to result in better functioning spaces rather than just piling on and cramping one Hope these ideas help you with your design.
