panjetty: I think the color a house should blend into the neighborhood homes. The exterior paint on a home should not stick out like a sore thumb. If a person lives in a San Francisco neighborhood where the houses are called painted ladies, you might paint your home purple and that purple would blend in for that particular neighborhood (photo below). Some neighborhoods (gated communities) dictate to the home owner what color house is acceptable, so the gated community neighborhoods always remain beautiful & cohesive. I do not disagree with you, but I always look around the neighborhood before I have my houses painted and I appreciate my neighbors who also look around the neighborhood and choose colors that blend in and do not "make a statement".

house is good in white. ensure you choose off white colour such as cotton woll and not brilliant white whike repainting. Gate in black. boundary wall in mud colour. overall it would look like a spanish villa. only thing missing is a big olive tree or a palm tree

Yep, I agree it's nowhere near Scandinavian. Although I tried hard to emulate it with the resources I had and conflicts with other family members, but oh well. But I'm trying to emulate the Scandinavian theme at least in the paint job. Do you think if I somehow achieved it at least in paint job it won't look good? I really like the color scheme of Scandinavian design. Edit: I really like the minimalism and coziness scandinavian design provies. Although, I do have to mention that I didn't mean to say that the photos that I've posted are necessarily scandinavian. I was just talking about the colors especially the white color.

Go for white shades which has hint of green (example Absolute white L161 Asian paints) as there are lot of dark colored elements here and needs to be balanced out and is also good as per vastu. I really like thw furniture and small wall decor you have here.. but I really feel it is underutilized.
