India: Duco/PU spray painting new kitchen cabinets
Comments (12)So i’m guessing you’re saying that oil paint/enamel paint looks cheap? That makes sense cause whilst i was growing up, the govt quarters came with oil painted doors and it chipped off in a few years in a sorry state. Don’t want that. So oil paint is out? What I’m gathering is that PU paint is not just paint. It’s a process? So you prime and paint(?) first and then do a protective coating of PU with the thinners and the additives? Comments (5)Hi Nitish, the door looks fabulous. If it's a solid teak wood and you want to cut the cost try Danish oil 3- 4 coat and watch videos on linseed oil, etc too. I would recommend Melamine on it for which we usually charge Rs175/sqft. which includes labour and material. In case you want PU we can do it for Rs350/sqft including material....See Morebest paint finish for kitchen cabinets? eggshell vs satin?
Comments (3)When choosing the finish for your kitchen cabinets, think about how easy it is to clean and the kind of shine you want. Eggshell Finish: It has a bit of a subtle shine. It's better than a flat finish for cleaning, but not as good as satin. It looks nice in classic kitchens. Satin Finish: This has a gentle shine, and it's great for kitchens. It's easy to wipe clean, which is super handy when you're dealing with kitchen messes. It gives your kitchen a modern look. So, if you want your cabinets to be easy to clean and have a bit of a shine without being too shiny, go for the satin finish. It's practical for a busy kitchen. Just make sure your cabinets are in good shape before you start painting, as the satin finish can show imperfections a bit more....See MorePawan J
