Ideas for the wall
Comments (43)This Cabinet is $155 at Ikea. You could take the 4 items you had hung, and put them in a "shadow box", or individual deep frames to tie then together, to create I piece that looks more substantial on the wall, Then add a little ledge for photos, and you would even have room on the cabinet for the cool bottles that were on the floor, and that cool chest could definitely find a home as an end table, or entry table. You could also add a larger plant in a really nice pot in turquoise. The cut and paste renditions arent always completely accurate in scale....See MoreNeed help to decor the entry way !!!!
Comments (19)A new fiberglass or wood door with lots more glass in the panel. It will brighten that hallway up considerably. If you are concerned about security, use a door with glass and a decorative grill on the exterior. www.glass craft.net....See MoreCan you suggest to decorate the facing wall of the passage
Comments (4)A rug with a horizontal pattern could help along with a false ceiling above in which you can install a line of recessed lights. The tiles and border on the walls suggest that this is a passage in a shared washroom space like a health club. It looks a bit cold for that reason. So hang a lot of warm framed prints to make this space more inviting....See Morehelp regarding interior decoration
Comments (2)Hi Debika, Congratulations on you new flat. If you re planing to do the decor yourself.. take it easy as it is a process and can get overwhelming. I really liked the flooring of your room. However the curtains, yellow wall and sofa colors don't go with each other. The easiest and budget friendly option would be to color the yellow wall the same color as other walls. White walls make room look bigger and brighter. Also the entry door looks like opposite to yellow wall, which is the narrower part of the room so such strong color will be in the face which I don't personal like. On the yellow wall (after you re-paint it) you can add a narrow full length mirror (floor to ceiling or 2/3 pieces to cover the distnce) plain or something in cutout pattern right in front of the door would add depth to the wall. (I am assuming the yellow wall will have TV on it). The curtains can be replaced with sheer off-white curtains with some delicate golden brown designs, they look dreamy and open..again makes room look bigger and brighter. Adding white with orange or grey (printed) throw pillows will look good on the sofa. On the empty strip of wall next to windows, a open sleek bookshelf (open on 3 sides ) would look good. You can put some photos or painting as well and make it into a gallery wall. White/ Golden frames and photos with white borders would look good. I think the top-down grid kind of gallery would look good here. A slim glass table with golden legs accompanied by a heliconia palm plant in white tall pot or woven basket pot would look great in the space between the entrance door and sofa,..it would add some green. You can also add a slim table with Metal Golden legs at the corner. The center table looks bulky, instead you can go in for a simple coffee table...glass top with sleek legs (can be same as the side table next to sofa). That would not occupy too much visual space. Long Term design goals if any ..can be something on the lines of.... Incase you plan to change on the sofa you can always go for a cobalt teal blue sectional. Also you can eventually replace the cubbies on yellow wall with some open lean shelving options. The TV unit can also be little shorter in length....See More- 4 years ago
