Hi Rasa, Nice to hear from you and I’m glad I was able to give you some inspiration for your kitchen tiles. I’ve included another image for you to look at that shows more of a farm house style kitchen with the coloured tiles. If you worried the coloured tiles might look too contemporary for your space, I would advise going for quite soft, muted colour tones to give you the same effect but in a more rustic style. You can see in the attached image how they have used a soft sheen, textured tile in neutral tones, with a subtle hint of colour to be in-keeping with that farmhouse feel. For your tile colours, you could pick up the off white tone of your cabinets with the grey in the granite, and a very soft hint of green or blue to add a little colour to achieve the same look for your kitchen. I have also added some paint swatches below you could use as reference for tile colours to help you visualise the combination. Respected Sir, as i can see..there is no way for water to go down the way.so please give a slope over there ..in form of a sloping roof or just a slight slope. than all is okay. and there as you wont face any leakage problem by the roof.

Had another question - I have been told that any granite that’s non-black is not suitable for kitchen platform usage. Is this true? Are lighter shade of granite prone to discolouration or other issues?

Hi Ramyashree, Kitchens are the spaces which require plenty of planning and storage options. They also have to be flexible with number of people using them - helpers and owners. You have a very interesting layout and multiple options can be planned based on your need. For your kitchen, I would recommend a breakfast counter adjacent to the open end of the counter facing the dining area. 1. The extended breakfast counter will act like a serving counter. When having your meals, you would want to immediately serve the warm food from the serving counter and not walk inside the kitchen. This is a good practice as you can serve your guests quicker and in a much organized manner. While your meals are on the serving counter, the kitchen is available for other activites like cleaning or preparing of additional meals. 2. Island counters are only helpful if you have a much bigger kitchen as it serves as a break between two platforms which are far apart. In your case, it will form a hinderance.  3. The breakfast counter will also provide a visual break and designate the kitchen  space from other areas. I am attaching the plan marking the idea and location of breakfast counter. Regards, deSigneR
