Suggestions on mounting tv unit on floor

Hi
How does it look having the tv unit floor mounted few inches in front of the upper stair railings? Please see the photo.
Backside can be a 1.5m wall with wooden finish in all sides.
Would there be any civil constraints on making this?
I don't see much pattern like this usually, is it necessary to have a wall behind the tv unit?

Athul,

There is no constraint as such. Although please keep in mind that a dark background helps in comfortable TV viewing . It appears that this TV unit is in skylight area - it may not be a very comfortable viewing experience.

Hi Atul,
Existing TV location is not ideal because it is hindering your transition space and also whoever is watching TV will get disturbed if you are moving around.
Since it is in the double ht area there will be echo all over.so you can't really hear the audio.
Otherwise design is ok as choices vary from person to person.
Overall suggest you to relocate the TV location. If you share clear picture of the family, will suggest you the location

This is just a presentation drawing to give you the idea for the T.V. unit to place as a divider between two sections. If you want a complete presentation send complete detail measurements of wall, windows , doors, etc.

The dimension that you are mentioning is quite big. Ensure that you place the couch atleast 20ft from the television. That distance will leave a visual impact and you will enjoy the viewing experience and also ensure that your eyes don’t get affected.

Hello there, since you have got a blank canvas, I would suggest hiring a designer first for a coherent design and decor. As for the living room TV unit, you could do with floating shelves and a wallpapered backdrop for TV with wall mount. hey.. I would like to suggest you to adjust the speaker @low height.. the reason behind is the vibration that it generates.. Also keep some 3 to 4 inches margin along all sides of the speaker from tv unit.. So that it could not vibrate that much....
