@ Studio Not a big fan of false ceilings either. I am going for this purely for insulation purposes. The searing heat of hyderabad summers renders the long living space unusable. The vendor tells me thermocol filling will take care of this. Googled for this and learnt that the temp drop can be upto 5 degs. Exposed concrete painted dark is totally my thing but the ceiling is plastered anyways... Does saint gobain do the channels as well? Any tips for me to supervise this and ensure the guy is doing a quality job? Thanks,

Hi Pritha, As according to the above scenario you can go with some wall paints which can camouflage the holes and since the hole is big so you can use cardboard to cover the hole and paint that cardboard with the same color paint, bringing a consistency to the walls as well as it can help in contrasting the decor of the entire room too. Moreover you can also go with wall paper too as this will make sure that the walls get covered entirely and thus you can able to cover that hole too to its maximum extent. Of course in this case the Pipe is large but still a small opening wont be much visible if you use dark paint or wallpaper over the wall. A small opening downwards which allows the pipe to go through is unremarkable in this case Through this you wont have to worry much about the false ceiling i suppose. The reference image wall color looks like Song of Nature 8401 or Pineview 8400 from Asian. Combine this with Nickel Grey 6126 and you should be good to go. Just paint the recess in accent color and the rest in grey. For getting the sense of color in the actual setup, we suggest you get a big swatch done and look at it in daylight and then in the evening with the warm lights on. The look will change substantially in both cases. You will be able to decide better.
