Need help to re-design the entrance to my house
Comments (0)I own the 1st floor of a 2-storied building. The ground floor being occupied by one of my close relative. We had been sharing the same entrance to the house till now. But due to some personal problems there has been a need to change the entrance to my house (i.e. the 1st floor). I have to construct a staircase in the front side towards the left side of the building. I am also planning to extend the existing drawing-room ( to the extreme left side of the building, as seen in the Photograph, attached) filling-up the open space, as seen in the photo. Please help me out to redesign the entrance and the extension of my Drawing room....See MoreNeed help for my wierdly designed living room
Comments (11)I think I am certainly quite late to reply on this post but nevertheless will put my suggestions here. Go for 2 loveseats in a light/neutral colour against the 7 ft and 15 ft wall. Opposite the 15 ft wall you could put a nice upholstered bench in contrast/printed fabric. Also for a warm glow put a nice standing lamp in the corner between both sofas. You can place a nice mirror on the TV wall and put a nice shelf beneath it and place a lamp there with few knick knacks if the door opens outside in the balcony or is sliding. Also, keep two upholstered ottomans below the mirror which can be pulled for extra seating when required. Place a low height coffee table small one like a 2x2 ft....See MoreNeed help designing the living room in my apartment
Comments (3)If the Deck is opening to a pleasant view, your current space planning seems to be wasting a good opportunity. Why is the dining so disconnected from the Kitchen? If you wish to get it redesigned professionally, you will need to provide me the 1. Coordinates of this house 2. Position of North 3. Current Status of the Construction (photos will do) 4. Budget allocated...See MoreWant ideas to redesign my room
Comments (13)Hi Suneet, I feel there are a couple of things you could do. -You can start with pulling the furniture closer to the carpet. -Buy a couple of cushions for the maroon sofa. Bottle green or olive green would go well. -If you don't have a centre/coffee table, I recommend you buy one. -Side tables with table lamps will make space appear quite cosy and warm. The above-mentioned things would help you define the seating area. If your budget allows, go ahead and paint the walls to a mildly darker tone. Hope this helps.
