If you love that wallpaper, use it in bathroom. Not really right for behind bed. I would go a drum style chandelier. In a silk pale gold. Your bed looks zen or Asian to me. I love it. But, you don't. Need to much with it. Keep it simple a more formal drape on windows, color would depend on wall color and bedding. I'm thinking a dramatic peacock satin. Use a lighter same tone on walls a rich teal. Ceiling can be gold leaf. With alight that cast shadows on ceiling at night. Then your wall paper will tie in. Furn should be mirrored.

Hi Ni, I just thought of something....did you say you planned to do the stencil motifs on the window wall? If so, I am thinking they will be mostly hidden by the curtains. I wonder if it might be better to stencil the long wall that is on the right side of the room when looking toward the window. I could see this being a pretty backdrop to the prayer box (I think that’s what you called it?) and your wood cuttings. Then maybe the opposite wall (the one with the kitchen doorway) could hold a large piece of art?

Paint, remove ribbon. Add a area rug. Pick a color you want. Then tie room together using that color mixed with white, black or cream. Depending on accent color. The hot colors now, are orange, pink, lime green, purple. Pick one you like then we can decide on color for walls bedding, rug end accessories. Start with picking a wall color. Not so in your face. More subdued . Then use brighter colors in your bedding and accessories. Go to paint store get samples cans and put on your wall. I would go a soft pale gray to start with. See how you like it. Some grays have a lavender tone to it. That might work.
