Fareham, Although from your description it appears to be grouting gone wrong thing but attached pics tell a different story. The size of floor tiles selected is not appropriate. It appears that someone may have walked over the tiles while the cement was still wet. If waterproofing was not done properly then these things may eventually snowball into a bigger problem. Looking at the pics , we would not recommend you to call the same contractor anywhere near your place again. I will suggest you to start with Bathrooms first. get the plumbing and water proofing checked. once you are clear that all the system is in place, depending on what look you want your bathrooms to be , you can consult an interior designer for material palate and designing. once your ideas are translated in drawings , you can get the civil and sanitary work done and you are good to go. For kitchen , just outsource it to modular kitchen guys, they will ask you your needs and how you want to set up your kitchen, they will take measurements and prepare a design / plans etc. and give you their material palate.. you can pick and choose your Colors and mood boards and within a month the assembling will be done and your kitchen will be ready.

Hi, I'm from Bangalore living in an 18 year old independent house. I have had plumbing and leakage issues due to poor plumbing during construction. I have spent a lot of money over the years in repairs. Due to Adjacent Bedroom walls getting wet due to water leakage in the Bathroom, i would like to get my bathroom renovated.. Also sanitation pipe connecting the chamber outside has been eaten away by rats and need to get the same replaced.
