Embrace the arches and keep it light, but add some contrast. Paint every wall with an arch in it fresh white, all ceilings too. Paint the adjecent walls a soft color. For example; when you keep the kitchen tile, you could paint the walls above it a soft pink or mauve. I see three open areas, so you could divide those with three soft colors and white inbetween. Keep most lights simple and functional, uplights will enhance the arches, glass pendants will add warmth. And I think a soft olive or sage green is a great color for a living room.

Have you ever thought about floating shelves? I think pairing a few floating shelves together would look great and would free up space in your living room. Yes sure ... we did something which I believe is a club of various ideas and expertise.. Though incomplete now , I will post what we have done till now. First we have around 8 feet appox glass 12 mm between the pillars. secondly we have three boxes 27" in height with focus halogens at the bottom. Now we will decorate these boxes with glass pebbles for awesome reflective / color effect. -I do need idea on what fillers can be used which will make me buy less glass pebbles ..else i would need at least 30kg plus of these pebbles. Thirdly we will now have glass film behind these 3 tall glasses to make it quite attractive and something which will look better with or without light. The idea is to add some golden plants in the middle i.e golden leaves and branches etc. -I would like more input on what films would look great behind these pillars. Or any other idea. I will definitely post once we are done with it.

Hi Neha, The floor plan is indeed a bit odd. I would suggest to have a living area on the left hand side of entry with TV unit on the left wall adjacent to entry. You can plan a Swing sofa on left of entry. In the niche near bedroom you can plan some decorative corner, some cabinets or cabinets with a memory corner with lots of family photographs. I would have suggested a Pooja corner but the wall is with the toilet on the other side so that wouldn't be suitable. On the right on entry plan dining area. On the wall shared with kitchen you can have a little window in the dinning. It would act as a good place for a little serving table. If you're into carpets then place a big carpet between entry and the balcony. And decorate the balcony beautifully so that on entering the home you will be greeted with a beautiful balcony view.
