Hello bobbi, Here are the pictures. 1) tv unit area 2) opposite wall ( area for sofa) , 3) enterance ( please suggest something near the enterance area that incorporates shoe rack and a medium length partition that doesn't look very crowded). 4) dining area. As I had mentioned that we are looking at contemperory designs that are modern interiors with minimalist in furniture to give more of peaceful ambiance. first of all i think u have a nice large space to begin with. We can create an L-shaped partition extending towards space where u have kept the dining table. Sowe get a lare space for L- shaped sofa. The TV unit can be where the diwan is right now.with a pendicularly placed showcase / bookshelf which also acts as a space divider. the space beyond that can be utilised for the diwan or a day bed which can be the family space . the dining table to be placed in the center of the room with circulation space all around. Hi Kiran, Before you place any furniture here, you should rethink the existing layout. I would eliminate the 3 internal walls around the puja room, and convert the areas of the living, puja, dining and kitchen, into a singular larger space. This is simply for better air circulation and overall aesthetics of the flat - to make it feel larger. You will now have an open kitchen - which can be shut by either a glass sliding folding partition, or with a half wall with a breakfast bar. You can use furniture smartly to create privacy for individual areas. You can also change the locations of the doors to the bedrooms, by not having them from the dining space, but from the passage outside the bathrooms; so that a larger table right in the centre with a dining credenza by one of the walls, thereby making the dining space a bit enclosed and not accessible from 3 sides. To answer your main question, you can have the television on the common wall between the living and bathroom (5'x8'); an L-shaped sofa can be placed along the same wall as the entrance door. Hello Rachna, We have gone through your posts. Please clarify the room size is it 12x8 or 16x9.3 . Let's start from bottom line, what is the budget that you can spare now for the makeover. A lot of remodelling would depend upon the budget .BTW, I really appreciate your honesty about the affordability ! Coming back to the topic, I believe your TV unit is placed in a good position but other units will require movement. Please do confirm the size.
