Anyone have any luck updating shower trim without replacing the valve? We have the original 1977 set that came with the house and want To change the look from the ugly old standard builder trim of last century. Moentrol escutcheon plate has screws at 5/7 o’clock. This is proving to be quite a challenge without spending an arm and a leg!
