kitchen area we need bar counter

Please suggest we want to add bar table in kitchen since it is opening in passage area
So pls suggest some options
remove the 2 entrance walls leave it open
remove 2 entrance walls and have a bar counter in Lshape side

Comments (10)there is many types of support to be used for counter top for long lasting work... as ... 1) brick wall which takes 2" , 4" or 6" thickness space which is not good for below space as we will waste space for storage under counter... this is used where heavy material is used on top of counter for cutting any food items... 2) marble support... which will take 35mm thk space double support... 3) furniture base if the kitchen working person is using the sink properly for washing purpose and the gaps between the sink and counter top has to be sealed properly for leakage free to avoid any damages for below storage, as i will not prefer this in other area... this can be used only in foreign countries......See MoreNeed Help in Designing an Electrical Applicance Counter in My Kitchen

Comments (8)Hello Waheeda, The tile looks great. Usually designer tiles have a glossy finish and they are easier to clean. Having said that, we prefer a cleaner surface with minimal lines for a kitchen backsplash. We have used a similar one recently from Kajaria. Ask for DCM 3105 at your nearest tile store. For you query for grouting, they require much lesser grouting as any other regular tiles. The design is made in a manner that they look like small glazed tiles put together. Greetings from Aura!
I just saw your post and came up with one option. we cannot ignore the fact kitchen is less spacious
so inside kitchen maki bar not possible
but yes we can create bar counter between dining and kitchen
lets see how- remove wall portion to make it huge window if you want give it a shape or simple square will work for you.
- don't create too heavy structure simple counter top of Granite would work
- add some lighting to it and hanging bar accessories easily available in market.
