As seen in the image the false ceiling framing members are also visible at the corners, so here's a thing you can do: Remove the brown molding and finish up the depression in a complete edge box look (using gypsum sheets). Get rid of the brown and match the white paint.

And so you can still hang your chandelier there with entire focus on it and not the niche.

No it will not be visible because the vertical gypsum sheets shall cover it and give a complete look.
