What are my my next steps

I recently booked a flat, the work is yet to be started.

I need help with some of the structural changes in the flat.
Also, I am looking to get the interior done for the flat.

what are my next steps, should I consult with an architect or an interior designer.

Also, the possession of the flat will be in the year 2023, when should I engage with an interior designer. should it be the beginning of the construction or just before the possession?

Also, would the interior be the best person to advise, if I should go with a complete naked structure flat vs a basic structure by the builder?

Congratulations for your new home. since the possession date is 2023, you are well before the time. To get structure changes contact an architect when the slab of your floor is being casted , it will give you scope to get civil changes smoothly by the builder himself, which will save your lots of time effort and money to get those changes after the possession. get your interior done at the same time it will help you in wiring and other changes which we do after hiring an interior designer.

Hi Sagar,

If you're looking for structural changes then you need an architect.
Since the possession is in 2023 it is too soon to hire an interior designer. Once the basic structure is ready you can hire a designer. You need a designer's advice on the stage of wiring, plumbing and painting the house.

I think a comfortable distance between the island and the counter is around 42". It seems that you have only 30" between your cook top and the counter. I might be a little too tight. The wall between the entrance and the kitchen could be 4' long instead of 6', you would then be able to move the island a foot which would give you more room between the cook top and the island. Could you switch the location of the toilet and vanity in your dad's bathroom so your enter facing a vanity instead of a toilet which is a lot nicer.

Leather sofas can really dominate the room and can give an overall cold feeling. I would add some earthy elements, like a wood coffee table with glass or metal. Go to Restoration Hardware's website and look at their sofa room scenes. And I'm sorry I think the art is too harsh for the room. That's all your eye goes to in the room. too overpowering. I would look for something softer or maybe a cool mirror and I would add color to the room with pillows and some colorful lamps. I also think woven blinds would look great. They add warmth and give a finished look. The color of your window treatments should contrast your wall color a bit, not match it or else it starts to look generic and blah.. You have warm walls, warm floors and the woven blinds, like Hunter Douglas brand would pull it all together for you.

Hello Gopa, You can do a partition with plywood on wooden frame. Go for a door with hinges as there is no benefit of a sliding door in terms of light . What is your intent for having a openable vs sliding door. Please be aware that after making an additional room the living room will look dark and long/ narrow. You can have a transome on the door in case privacy is not much of an issue. You will however have to depend on artificial lighting in case a full partition is done. Hey Sagar,

This is a good time to find an interior designer, or an architect who can give you good designs.
It will be useful to get one now because the structural changes you need can be planned well by a designer, keeping two things in mind. Your needs as well as the end design.
It is crucial that you have one person work on your home because different designers and architects will come with different plans and the end result will be a little messed up.

wait until 2022, after that u can hire interior designer because u will do interiors of house, if u want to do exterior of ur house or any r.c.c. , beam minor changes then u can hired an architect who only look for architectural work, also there is both interior architect for interior design works.... u can hire any one out of this 3 person

1 month will be taken for designing ur house accourding to ur requirement and about construction it will take 3 months for 2 bhk and 6months for 3 or 4 bhk, so accourdingly u can hire ur prospects
