This was not decided by me actually, it was done by my family. It perhaps would have been to pop a colour in the room with neutral. I really don't know. That is why I want it not to look out of place.

Doesn't look like too many colors from the pics.

But yeah, there too many lines in the ceiling and wardrobe /study/ dressing pattern and also the shadow from the window. I don't think those lines can be reduced now.

Few suggestions, IMHO that headboard will not suit your room. Change it if you can.

The handles are too big and someone just went lazy to pick up the appropriate size . It's like one size fits all approach. They are taking up all the attention. See if you can opt for a subtle one.

Thirdly, I would like to do away with the u shaped shelve to lighten up the place. Again check if feasible.

Tieing a room together is not a matter of one item that has all the elements.

At present, your room looks well put together.

when we are trying to pull a room together, the trick is to use different elements (such as pillow, showpieces, plants, rugs curtains, table lamps etc) which have those elements repeated. For example, the colour and texture of the wallpaper could be repeated on the opposite side with art.

The bed and the wardrobes look like a perfect match. The headboard fabric Colour can be brought with a rug or some showpieces.
