it is of course ashut0sh ... that is why what bere says is so important. The architect will have no idea of your concerns unless you bring them to him or her! By luxury, the only thing I meant is so many houzz users don't have an architect or designer there to assist, so this forum is maybe the only sounding board they have. Hopefully your architect is creative and skilled enough to bring you a tailored solution to you that will be beautiful and solve your concerns. If they aren't listening to you, well, then that is separate issue (and is not acceptable).

I think it totally depends on two things, 1 The available space 2 Your religious belief. Someone who is very religious may try to squeeze a separate space even in tiny flat, while someone who is not overtly religious may just have a small corner with Idols in spite of being in a position to have a separate room.

Hello Neetu, Trying to explain the suggestions earlier made with an image. See if the following changes makes the space more usable and open. Please see the numbers marked on the attached image. 1- Open up Dressing Area. No need of closing it. 2& 3 Pull out the Porch and increase the room size. 4- Change the direction of toilet, increase the size and include handwash within it. 5 Open Living area will comfortably seat 6-8 people. 6,7 - If your designer agrees this will allow you to increase the room sizes. by 20 odd ft. 8- Close the kitchen door . Hi Farooq, you should go for wall paneling on that wall with a concealed door. The wardrobe can be a part of the unit in front.
