Manpreet, Congratulations on your new home! You can go with BWP ply with laminates. You are right in your choice of matt and glossy laminates for base and wall cabinets respectively. Sujithra, Everyone has their own costing formulas. Due to professional courtsey we wouldn't want to compare/comment on that. However, BWP ply and PVC sheets base cost is similar. What is The Best Material for Modular Kitchen In Kerala?

There is nothing special about Kerala climatic conditions that require anything special (yes, I have several years experience with kitchen cabinets there). You can use BS 710 or 303 plywood with laminate on them with excellent results. Several interior firms also use HDF/MDF with laminate without much complaints from their clients.
