Mandir in Dining Area
Comments (13)Ideally pooja should be next to kitchen which is also preferred by most in AP & Bangalore. As per Vasu it should be in East or NorthEast of the flat area & while you pray you should face towards East. occupying foyer area is good but need to divert the flow to avoid walking with footwear in front of pooja room, so need to change the entry which I think difficult from Prestige as they wouldn't accept that change The other option is at Wash Basin However you should hire a professional so that you get right & full guidance. If you've already hired then you can demand to fulfill this requirement as well....See MoreHall with no foyer and no parallel complete walls.
Comments (6)TV position looks good to me as is. All you need to do is bring the sofa in the center of the living room - and facing the TV unit (see how much space are you getting around to walk) You can have a nice central rug and dazzling chandeliers / hanging lights above the sofa set. The wall opposite entrance can be your feature wall because it faces the entrance so everytime someone enters , they will see that wall first and it should create an impact. The feature wall ideas include - Have a beautiful Mandir there ( I don't know what the Vastu is of the flat so plan accordingly) or make it a nice reading nook with a lazy couch / chair and a lamp or planter . If you don't wish to do any of the above then make an accent wall - have a very quirky wallpaper backdrop and have two high back chairs with a coffee table. you can have innovative hanging lights on any one side. If you want to increase utility of your house then you can also have a sofa cum bed there - which can be used by guests / friends etc....See Morepuja space ideas for my new home
Comments (3)Hello Jayant, As per Vastu the ideal space for the Puja room is the North-East area of the house. As per the plan that would be on the right wall of the bedroom adjacent to the wash yard. You can keep the Mandir in the place of the study table. In addition, the Mandir should not be on the same wall as the washroom. In case Vastu is not a concern, the current position seems optimal. in the right-bottom corner of the living room. As per the directions, that falls in the South-East of the living room and South-West for the entire house. As for the what the mandir, You can look at Corian or wood as the building material. Corian will allow light to pass through the mandir and you can install LEDs behind for a beautiful look. Wood is more earthy and charming and traditional. For the design I am attaching a few photos from the internet that seem to best suit the two possible options (living room and bedroom) We hope this helps!
