I love cooking, and I often have friends over for meals. I'd like a couple of stools and a table/island in my kitchen where my friends can sit and talk while I cook. My kitchen is technically U shaped but I'm using floor space only on two walls and making it L shaped, in fear of making it too narrow. My living room, dining and kitchen all will have an open layout sort of setting in a way that all will be in one long narrow-ish room.

I was hoping to create a kind of cohesive dining and kitchen area where the dining and kitchen are almost the same.

P.S the utility space in the floor plan was taking into the kitchen to make the space larger
