Right now there does not seem to be any symmetry on the path to your door. I would either eliminate the small trees that are there now, and replace them with bushes or shrubs that are equal in height and width, or cut these back and shape them dramatically, so that you have a clear vision to the door. Second, if you could change out the door, eliminating the side window, that's another idea. Sometimes just replacing your front door with one that is bold in color or style is enough to breathe some life into the front of the house. You could also either replace the concrete with pavers or paint the concrete with stain of a color that blends well with with nature.. like a lighter gray or a brown.

This Cabinet is $155 at Ikea. You could take the 4 items you had hung, and put them in a "shadow box", or individual deep frames to tie then together, to create I piece that looks more substantial on the wall, Then add a little ledge for photos, and you would even have room on the cabinet for the cool bottles that were on the floor, and that cool chest could definitely find a home as an end table, or entry table. You could also add a larger plant in a really nice pot in turquoise. The cut and paste renditions arent always completely accurate in scale.

This is a great space to work with. Since you have a good length, you can break the terrace into rooms.. with yew to divide the areas, or tall plants with shallow roots. Grow grass in curves and a pathway to lead visitors through the various rooms. Couple of ideas for garden 'rooms': Bamboo with golden stem or black stem as background, with charpai and 'moda' seating with cushions. A light under the foot of the bamboo, looking up will be alluring. Put up a trellis with fragrant climbers like jasmine and seating underneath on a part of the terrace which gets shade in the evening so you and your friends and family can relax. A dry garden with hardy plants like tall grass and Palm tree, pebbles on the ground to create the look. Plant a small flowering tree in one 'room' Add evocative lighting to create the mood in the evenings. As you can see there are many possibilities. Please ensure the ground is well protected from water seepage etc before you start planting. Also ensure the height of the periphery wall is taller for it to be safe for children and adults. Bear in mind the size of the plant, roots, sun and water needs before you choose your plants. Enjoy the creation..!

Hello, what a lovely city, I have been there! You undoubtedly already know the most obvious...papaya grow fast, fruit young, they aren't very pretty, but the leaves and flowers are edible, too... Bananas of course Star fruit, I think, can fruit while the tree is still young... Lime trees have very fragrant blossoms...they do well in pots... I don't know about strawberries, I think the humidity and lack of seasonal change might do them in, they would do better in India at higher altitude, I think... I wonder, though, if a kiwi might do all right...going to check...
