suggest me ideas ASAP

Hey Houzzers, I’m new to this app so still figuring out
And I’m truly glad to discover this app on the App Store .
Our house construction is just done and I had told mom no to touch my room because somehow I don’t like their colour choices.
Coming to the point, as the wall of the room gonna remain white. I had this idea of keeping my room in shades of white , black & grey.. and adding some drama with red / turquoise/ yellow. Moreover my washroom has huge tiles of grey n small sized tiles of white.
Now as I was out of town .. They have got this bed made from a local carpenter and it’s of dark brown n cream colour. Below are the pictures of the bed being made and the original bed pic from where the carpenter is referring . Now I had this black grey curtains .. which I can’t use now I guess !
Please help me
The laminate for the box of the bed has not been fixed yet , only the head post Is done excluding the centre area which is for cushion! The same laminate will be put on the wardrobe and the cabinets
Please suggest me ideas because I can do some
Alterations now n how do I use these curtains(My fav.) ? So walls are white n bed is brown n cream wardrobe is also brown. Washroom tiles are grey n white . Will these curtain go with the bed n room?

OK... but the wire wont be lower as it is fixed now. The wire in the pics below is the wall facing each other. They were leveled on equal height but the beam on one wall makes it seem a little above. But i think you guys are absolutely right that up and down lights wont look good there. I think you are right about down lights lessismoore. Would it look good if i go with two different lights on opposite walls??? it would look odd right.

The sit out is too big and the home theatre will probably be under utilised. you can pinch half the width of the sitout and use it for the g bed wardrobe. Do think about having the dining in place of the home theatre. The garden/court in the present dining appears too small for the house. Think about making the utility bigger and bringing the garden more to the center of the house.

1.If at all you do not want these laminate colors then you can paint it as well. Refer youtube for that.

2.If backpanel tufted material has not yet purchased then you can do it in the match color of curtain, which is your favorite

3.You may opt for one tinch added to white of grey color for wall with one accenture wall of cement look or brick look

Hello Zet lee,

As the head board is complete, you an think of adding back painted white glass on the wardrobe panels along with the walnut laminate. Change the curtain to some nice white colour with good design fabric. This will give brightness in the room and add a designer touch to your room. You can surely add wall paper to one of the walls.

It is a typical example of proportions going wrong. We often pick up an image and replicate it with personal tweaks but thanks to limited foresight of workers we end up landing elsewhere.

Anyways, curtains ideally should have a very small role to decide the furniture finishes. Furniture is permanent upholstery changes every couple of years. IMHO, upholstery should compliment the furniture and not the other way round.

If the laminates are already procured then can you accommodate any changes suggested? Let us know.

There are a few issues visible. The bed does not have a central support and please also make sure you have a plan for electric board on the left side of the bed shouldn't land up on the back cushions.

Yes I can accommodate the changes
Hope it’s feasible in a small town like mine...
But I love those curtains and I want them to placed in my room
I can change the laminates
And other option is I can change the current bed with the below in picture

Hardly any laminate is pasted on this. So I can change the laminate and you can suggest me the colours
I want to keep the room in shades of white , grey n black
As walls are white
Suggest me colours combinations for bed and wardrobe which also matches my curtains

Keep Headboard of Black with Grey cushion board and sides of bed.

Keep cupboard of milky white matte laminate and black matte handles which will make room look bigger.

Use allover matte laminate only.

Use some red/ light green color wall piece or decorative item to give vibrant look.
