Hi! The decision can depend on the following: 1. Budget - If you can spare more and invest in one, I'd say go for the fully-integrated free standing hob+microwave oven. 2. Servicing - Since purchasing a free standing unit is not quite common unless you're getting the entire modular kitchen done, servicing the same can be an issue. 3. Space constraint - A kitchen hob definitely requires only your counter space rather than losing out on the whole vertical storage.
